Sears Minnesota Model A sewing machine

From RetroTech, the online museum of 20th century technology.

In the first half of the 20th century, Sears Roebuck & Co. was one of the biggest sellers of sewing machines in the country. From 1900 to 1912, the Davis Sewing Machine Company of Watertown, New York, supplied sewing machines to Sears. The Minnesota Model A sewing machine on display in the museum was sold by Sears for $16 in 1910 (the equivalent of over $300 today). It is identical to the top-of-the-line Model E sold by Davis.
